Carl P.Munck, Sr. wrote some material (and provides a map/drawing)
of a former animal stone monolith/effigy .. in the area of Monterey,
Tennessee, USA. This former stone monolith/effigy was/is sacred to the Cherokee
Nation, evidently. Dr.Opless Walker has been associated with the study of this
former stone monolith/effigy known as the "Dog Monolith", according to Munck's
report.
Dr. Walker's address (as reported in Munck's "The Code, Volume A" of 1993,
on page 136) is/was ..

The "dog" monolith stone stood some 12 feet high, and faced_due_West;
270 deg azimuth, according to Dr.Walker.
On page 137 in "The Code", 1993 .. Munck has a map/drawing using the
official USGS (1983 NAD) topo map for Monterey, Tennessee.
I've been able to measure directly_on_that page, and I've come-up with
some (following) results.

Munck's map/drawing has the former spot (according to Dr.Walker's info,
which he apparently passed on to Munck, in mail correspondence) ..
directly "on" a meridian of .. 85 deg 16' 30" W.Greenwich.
This translates to .. 116 deg 24 min 30.8 sec .. W.Giza. .. "approx".
I interpolate the latitude, directly measuring on the page .. as ..
approx. 36 deg 09' min 6.3" sec North.
Here is my interpretation ..
116(deg) * 24(min) * 30.79244029(sec) W.Giza ..
= 85726.15377 W.Giza.
36(deg) * 09(min) * 6.316546818(sec) North ..
= 2046.561169 North.
Grid Point Value ..
(85726.15377 / 2046.561169) = 41.88790204
That's a "biggie" to me .. the "arc-seconds-tag" on the ecliptic-North
latitude of REGULUS .. 27(min) * 41.88790204(sec) = (360*Pi) North-of-ecliptic.
PLUS .. it's the_Grid LAT_of SPICA ..
02(deg) * 03(min) * 6.981317008(sec) South-of-ecliptic ..
= 41.88790204 South-of-ecliptic.
This, then, by the way .. reveals (in-turn) the "arc-seconds-tag" of SPICA's
ecliptic-South latitude .. to be_numerically_identical to .. South Galactic Node.
Additionally; 41.88790204 is a decimal-harmonic of .. the "Galactic Cross" ..
which is .. 41887.90204 = (6.981317008 * 7.5 * 2.842446068 * 281.4477322).
This is where the Galactic Nodes and Galactic Cross-Nodes are multiplied together.
{Morton; 2002, Internet} .. as applies to the "ASM".

Could SIRIUS be the "dog" here ? Or; could it be PROCYON ?
I'm going to (hopefully) present some evidence on behalf of Procyon ..
the "Little Doggie Down in Tennessee". I certainly mean no disrespect
for the Cherokee .. one reason being I have (I do suspect) a fair component
of Cherokee blood in my own person. But I just get a "country music" feeling
about this scenario, if you will. (OK .. enough of that).
My "ASM" figures for PROCYON .. as always, based directly on ..

Of course, Canis Minor is_related_to Canis Major, so we would expect
some connection involving the SIRIUS "ASM" figures .. eh ?

I also see evidence of connections to The Great Sphinx and to the "Panther Mound"

of The Great Sphinx of Giza, as well as 10 times the 30*Pi Grid Point Value of
"Panther Mound" in the Florida Everglades.
There even appears to be a direct connection to the "Celtic-Unit" .. {Brennan}.

I think you're right about the "cats and dogs" thing. I don't know quite what that means
(it may mean something to do with the difference between light and sound on one level),
but if Sirius had to take precedence as being the origin of the "Dog Monolith" label, I
see that working well... and 1130.973355 (Regulus) / azimuth 270 = 4.188790205... the total
mutiplied product of the 3 center points for the D. C. "Big Doggie" [Len Keane, Morton, Chronos]
is precisely 1/4 of 4.188790205...
